Alltech's Countryside Canter 5k raises awareness for equine therapy

The Kentucky Horse Park is often home to the sounds of thundering hooves, but on Nov. 3, it was the thundering feet of the runners and walkers in the Alltech Countryside Canter 5K and Fun Run/Walk presented by Alltech and the Bluegrass Sports Commission. Participants followed a course around the Kentucky Horse Park, beginning and ending at the Alltech Arena. The event was held to help raise awareness of The All Glory Project and its mission to promote, foster and support programs that utilize animal-assisted therapies in aiding military veterans and their families. Volunteers from The All Glory Project helped run the event, and an inspirational message to help kick off the run was delivered by equestrian celebrities Misdee Wrigley-Miller and Bret Day (pictured below).
